A native Californian, Margôt R. Hamilton began her musical performance training at the age of two.  She started singing two – part harmony, and then moved on to three – part at age four with her siblings.  The “Violoncello” came later while in Junior High School. Accepted as a student of Cesare A. Pascarella, at age sixteen, she became a matriculated student into the California Institute of the Arts’ Cello Performing Arts Program.

While at CALARTS, Margôt won several competitions, received scholarships, performed with Symphony Orchestras as a Soloist, and in Recitals with her Pianist Carol M. Hamilton.  Upon completion of six years, she had earned both a B.F.A and M.F.A. in Cello Performance.

Following her M.F.A., Margôt continued her Cello studies in Europe.  She trained with many wonderful Cello teachers as well as performers at various Conservatories and in Cello Masterclasses.

The immersion into European Arts and Culture brought forth the advancement of her design techniques, language, performance and teaching skills; which are all a culmination of her training and experiences.
